Coalition and Dutton must pay price for destroying Indigenous aspirations

Not all 19 MPs will be turfed out in one election. Some will take two or more election cycles to remove. But that’s okay. The destruction of Indigenous aspirations and the continuation of severe health, economic and imprisonment outcomes resulting from Dutton’s opportunistic “No” vote will be felt for decades. The responses in outrage should also continue for decades.

If enough Australians get to serious work, the nation will not suffer such a day of shame again.

Divide and fool: The Coalition’s misinformation campaign – Pearls and Irritations

A fossil fired power station in the state of N.S.W. Australia.

It didn’t matter with Asylum Seekers, Climate Change, Muslims, African Gangs, Crime, 0r the Referendum, the LNP process and tactic have always remained the same division, the goal, despite the truth

In a recent Q and A, the opposition’s shadow minister for Climate Change and Energy Ted O’Brien’s improbable aim was to convince Australia that small nuclear reactors (SMRs) could replace our coal fired power plants and lead us to carbon neutrality. If you examine the economics of SMRs the proposition has to be classified as an absurdity with no chance of becoming a reality in the foreseeable future – if ever.

The insidious part of the SMR policy is its drawing on the Trumpian political playbook: facts don’t matter in an age of manipulative social media and compliant print media. What does matter is using policies to create an alternative reality with which to open up cracks in an otherwise consensual landscape. That playbook policy has proven extraordinarily successful for the opposition in its policy on the referendum. As for the SMR policy – it’s a smart device which acts as a proxy war to muddy and divide views on the government’s climate change policy and delivers to the Coalition a warm financial embrace from the mining industry. In terms of the Australian public it’s all about dividing and fooling.

The Strange Case Of Senator Jacinta Nampijinpa Price – » The Australian Independent Media Network

Now when it comes to her performance, we have a whole strange series of alternative facts here. While it may seem like just getting media attention is the name of the game when you’re not in power, the fact remains that Pauline has managed to get media attention since last century but she’s still a long way from forming government and some of the comments Senator Price have made don’t make your average voter think that she has a strong grip on what needs to be done. Her attacks on the AEC and her comments on how great colonisation was are the sort of things that make the daily news, but they don’t make most people immediately go: “Wow, there’s a future leader!” And it begs the question, “What’s wrong with the current Liberal talent that you have to go outside the party and outside the House of Reps to find a worthy candidate?”

So in answer to the question that a newspaper recently asked, “Should Jacinta Nampijinpa Price run for PM?”, I’d merely say: I don’t know, so I’ll say no.

Collective punishment, selective truth, and slow genocide – Pearls and Irritations

Israeli and Palestinian flags on a brick wall with blood splatters.

Facts about the Israel/Palestine conflict have always been hard to come by. Some Israeli leaders are now telling more lies than many of their citizens, and former friends of Israel, can swallow. Yet Western governments still do.

Israeli leaders have practice in being selective with the truth. Some friends of Israel who gave them the benefit of the doubt, don’t now.

There’s a great gulf between what American and Israeli leaders and their allies say has happened, and what people in the Arab world understand to be the facts. The same gulf is perpetuated in much of the Western media, where the record of US lies beginning with, say, Pearl Harbour, and continuing through Korea, Vietnam, Afghanistan, and Iraq, is well known but rarely mentioned.

Israel may be the latest of the US lies, but it will spill just as much innocent blood.

Twenty-Three Journalists Have Been Killed Covering the Israel-Gaza War – Mother Jones

Roshdi Sarraj, a reporter who co-founded a Palestinian media company, was killed Sunday in the Gaza Strip. He was at least the 23rd journalist to die since October 7, among more than 4,000 people killed in the Israel-Hamas war, according to the Committee to Protect Journalists.

Israel’s Forensic Pathology Center Presents Evidence From Hamas Attacks: Report | HuffPost Latest News

Forensic scientists at Israel's National Center for Forensic Medicine in Tel Aviv work to identify bodies of those killed in attacks by Hamas.

Who is The Media Line? The Media Line is an American News Agency covering the Middle East run by Felice Friedson whose Agency is permitted to operate in Israel a country that strongly vets any foreign journalists against “objectivity”. Israel currently threatens arrests and even kills journalists who they feel don’t report the Israeli government line. So what value should this report be given at this time on any  1-10 scale?

Apparently, the killing of 4,600+ Gazans 2,000 children, and wounding of 14,500 has been done with a sense of kindness and responsibility indicated by the total never-ending bombing,  blockade of medical aid, potable water, and food. Israel even bombed Raffa the point of entry if aid was to be let in from Egypt.

Israel has also said all of this sociopathic carnage has been done by Hamas. The West Bank well that’s just a normal day in the life of Palestinians. 51 dead is nothing in the newly ever-expanding, illegally occupied territories. Let’s not discuss or what a forensic description of Gazans might uncover when the body parts are recovered.

Experts and volunteers appeared “visibly disturbed” as they shared accounts of beheaded bodies and photos of charred remains with the press.

UN Agency Warns Humanitarian Operations in Gaza on Verge of Total Collapse

Israeli airstrikes continue on the 16th day in Gaza

A Forensic Report offered by Israel won’t be offered by Gaza to America’s “The Media Line” Agency at this point in time as there has been a shortage of personnel, equipment, and the piecing together of bodies in Gaza at the moment.

“Without fuel, there will be no water, no functioning hospitals and bakeries,” said the UNRWA. “Without fuel, aid will not reach those in desperate need. Without fuel, there will be no humanitarian assistance.”

Debunked: ‘Gaza is not Occupied’

Therefore the very Idea that Gaza is Occupied and there was a need for Palestinian Liberation is Anti Semitic Peddling. Israel “Freed Gaza”

If Israel doesn’t occupy Gaza, why can it turn off the lights with a flip of a switch? Stop it exporting its produce? And control what can enter the Strip? The truth is obvious. And the media must stop letting Israel peddle this deadly lie.

Anyone interested in the truth should ask – if Israel doesn’t occupy Gaza, why does it maintain the power to starve and withhold basic necessities? Israel wants the world to believe the myth that it “gave Gaza freedom.”

Throughout Israel’s latest aggression on Gaza, Israeli ministers have continued to spread the lie that the besieged enclave is not occupied. The purpose of this misinformation is to further dehumanise Palestinians and justify the deadly violence against 2.2 million people, half of them children.

Morrison is just so out of his depth when not the central performer. He looks in so awe of Trump

Pratt, who has faced questioning by special counsel Jack Smith in one of two federal investigations against the former president, recounted his private discussions with Trump and described his business practices as being “like the mafia,” according to a recording obtained by 60 Minutes.

In Pratt’s interviews with Smith, he allegedly divulged the submarine discussion they had post-presidency, a discussion that Trump denies ever happened. Another witness told prosecutors about Pratt spending $1 million for tickets to a Mar-a-Lago New Year’s Eve gala and volunteering to pay the club a sizable markup for the tickets that actually run about $50,000 per entry, two people familiar with the matter told the New York Times.

While the pain was being felt by 40% plus Australians and 80% of FN Peoples on and after 15/10/23, Peter Dutton and his cronies were partying as if there was no tomorrow but only the past. A 1830s event thrown by squatters. After they’d just mass murdered FNP and misappropriated their lands  beyond the arbitrary City limit line. Back then they were free to declare they shot and killed “nobody” and able to keep these killings from any possible charges brought by the Crown. As “no” witnesses were ever available. The “black fauna” weren’t  permitted to give evidence or bear witness in any British Christian Courtroom. Courts where even the Magistrates were squatters and jurors military personal. No white man was ever held to account for killing raping or stealing from a black man woman or child for almost 100 years.

Peter Dutton, Jacinta Price and her mother Bess Price exposed conspiring to loot $million from Indigenous funding via a school grantKangaroo Court of Australia

Jacinta Price, Peter Dutton and Bess Price

There is a suggestion of intended fraud and a case of undeclared conflict of interest was reported as far back as April. If the facts are true they are totally damning. Peter Dutton, David Littleproud, and Jacinta Price’s involvement in raising funds for a school where Price’s mother Bess is Assistant Principle. How is it, It never got the publicity in our National MSM or did it and we all missed it ? A, $ 12M backhander to the Yiripinya School raises a web of accusations that’s as good as any “sting” one could imagine. All for kids or on the backs of kids yet to be defined by authorities as “in need”. If closely examined it’s almost a case of back to the future when kids were stolen but with a twist.

Watch all three of the below videos as Bess Price, Peter Dutton and David Littleproud all raise the $12 million grant 3 days in a row which shows it is a coordinated plan to get the $12 million and they all link it to the referendum discussion. Are Dutton and Littleproud pushing the $12 million grant as payback for Bess Price and Jacinta Price helping the “No” vote getting up in the referendum?

Why hasn’t it been investigated further? Stuart Robert shennanigans certainly were. Are shadow Ministers like Price Dutton and Littleproud free from conflict of interest investigations and corruption allegations?

By ERWIN CHLANDA A row is brewing over plans for a $12m boarding facility planned to be added to the Aboriginal-run Yipirinya School. NT Senator Jacinta Price, who sits with the Coalition, is pushing for the project, with the support of Shadow Education Minister Sarah Henderson. But now ALP Member of Lingiari Marion Scrymgour has pointed out that Senator Price’s mother, Bess, a former CLP Member in the Territory Parliament, is the school’s assistant principal.

The Alice Springs News has asked Senator Price whether she has declared an interest. There was no mention of her mother’s position in a media release on the matter, issued this morning (28 April).

John Lord is too gracious to begin his article with an ironic congrats. I wouldn’t give the mothers the time of day. But, yes John “We are all racists”, particularly those 50% of us born and raised here.  A process of Intergenerational socialization has ensured that. As much as the intergenerational trauma foisted on the FNP of this country has. To a degree, we have all inherited that social defining psychology of the Squattocracy which we are able to read about in David Marr’s personal family history  Killing for Country

I must begin by congratulating Murdoch’s news media and the Australian Conservative political parties for their successful long-term character assassination of those who are different. Meaning First Nations people.

Is “Scientific Racism” Why America Has No Universal Healthcare System? | The Smirking Chimp

Since 2000 we seem to have been becoming increasingly more American.  21 years of LNP government has changed us an not for the better. The criminal invasion of Iraq, the Cronulla Riots, the Nope nope Nope coming of Abbott and now the referendum and “no”. There’s an 8-year gap in the life expectancy of Australia’s FNP which can be attributed to institutionalized racism and health no longer being considered a Universal Human Right by the LNP. Remember when Peter Dutton was voted the worst Minister for Health in the history of this country? He has been a racist all along. With his banana bender Colonial Squatter’s mentality he’s a living legend.

Racism is the main reason that America doesn’t consider healthcare a human right and provide it to all citizens, as does every other developed country in the world. Racist whites, particularly in the South, have worked for over a century to make sure that healthcare is hard for Black people and other minorities to get.

Social statistics indicate the very same applies and has increasingly done over 21 years of LNP government.

America is the only developed country in the world that doesn’t recognize healthcare as a human right, the only country with more than two-thirds of its population lacking access to affordable healthcare, and the only country in the developed world that has, since its founding, continuously enslaved and legally oppressed and disenfranchised a large minority of its population because of their race.

These things are connected.

The simple fact is that, were it not for slavery, white supremacy, and the legacy of “scientific racism,” America would have had a national, single-payer healthcare system in 1915, just 31 years after Germany put into place the modern world’s first such program.

Australia has shown itself to be a selfish nation that lacks empathy – Pearls and Irritations

The Australian and Australian Aboriginal flags.

The myth of being a nation with the mostest on the planet has been busted by the LNP and any human recovery can’t even begin to see a horizon.

As an Australian with First Nations and coloniser blood running through my veins, I’ve always believed in the promise of a fair and just Australia, one that can celebrate our 65,000 years of history, reconcile our colonial past and build a better future for all. But the Voice referendum has cast a shadow on that vision. It has revealed a darker side of our nation – one driven by selfishness and fear. And one where we allow ourselves to be sucked in by misinformation and social media algorithms.

What About a One State Solution With an Equal Vote for Every Palestinian and Israeli? – scheerpost.com

Adley Well, Israel is clearly acting as a proxy state for the military industrial complex that continues to fuel the profits for the United States military establishment for the executives at Lockheed Martin and Raytheon. I mean, really, if we want to just get to the core of why that is simply it. United States doesn’t care about democracy. It doesn’t care about human rights. And. Those are just I mean, those are that’s just a lie. And the United doesn’t care about that. The United States was built on a foundation of genocide itself and has since fueled its own economy by the military industrial complex of forever wars. And that’s since 9/11. We’ve seen that lust, blood, lust for war go basically on steroids. And so that’s why maybe 15, 20 years ago, we probably would have heard about some sort of like actual nations, whereas now the United States unequivocally stands behind the state of Israel. And the Israel lobby in the United States is extremely, extremely powerful. AIPAC and the other so-called somewhat left, you know, liberal lobby groups like J Street pay politicians very, very high amounts of money to push for support for Israel. And so that’s why there’s no solution. We cannot get a solution from the very governments and countries that helped create this crisis in the first place.

The United States, Great Britain, especially, and many European countries helped organize the creation of the state of Israel by arming Zionist militias to enter Palestine when Palestinians were promised an end to colonialism from the British. They went and turned their backs against Palestinians to then go arm and promise these white Jews from Europe a land. And so that was only. And it’s not because these European countries cared about these Jewish people who were, you know, had just survived the Holocaust. It was because they had to deal with their own issue of racism, and that was their solution, not to help them, but to remove them out of Europe and put them somewhere else. And so it wasn’t some nice thing that these European countries did. It was, in fact, another racist reaction to their own hate for the Jewish people in Europe. And so I think that’s really important. That’s the kind of history that’s being forgotten and whitewashed by the very people that created this situation. Today, we have people like Ursula von der Leyen’s. She’s the head of the EU. And then we have, you know, Joe Biden and Rishi Sunak and all of the Western leaders of the world talking about social justice. And they don’t care for any of that. And I’m so sorry, but I do have to get going.

The Myth of Israel’s ‘Most Moral Army’ – CounterPunch.org

Palestinian victims, by contrast, remain nameless; and they tend to be presented as mere numbers rather than flesh and blood human beings whose lives also deserve to be grieved. This, too, helps to perpetuate the myth of the Israeli military as moral.

Ultimately, then, it is not only that those who deploy the weapons of the strong are considered more ethical because they kill innocent people from a distance, but also because the colonial legal discourse constructs the people they kill as “human animals”, “collateral damage”, or as a statistic.

So long as the dead are dehumanised in this way and, consequently, presented as unworthy of being grieved, the death drive will continue unabated. This, I fear, is a recipe for genocidal retribution.

Opinion | The Explosion of Israel’s Formaldehyde Strategy in Gaza | Common Dreams

A photo shows shows explosions in Khan Yunis in the southern Gaza Strip

With Israel’s provocation over the past 20 years, it’s a surprise Israel took so long to get what it always intended. To execute a genocidal attack on Gaza and take more of the West Bank by invasion calling it defense.

There can be no peace in Palestine without justice, which means Israel’s 20-year policy of disengagement, brutal apartheid, and occupation must end.

The exponential growth of illegal Jewish settlements, the killing of Palestinians, the desecration of holy sites and the annexation plans made it unrealistic to even suggest that a two state solution is still practically possible.

But why was Israel keen on freezing a ‘process’ that was futile to begin with?

It was not the peace process that mattered to Israel, but the fact that, so long as such political conversations were still taking place, the Palestinian political agenda remained relevant.

This logic, long argued by Palestinians, was supported by Weisglass himself, when he said that “When you freeze that process, you prevent the establishment of a Palestinian state, and you prevent a discussion on the refugees, the borders and Jerusalem.”

“Effectively,” he added, “this whole package called the Palestinian state, with all that it entails, has been removed indefinitely from our agenda. And all this with authority and permission. All with a (US) presidential blessing and the ratification of both houses of Congress.”

“I expect you to Die” – Israel’s biggest Crime isn’t threatening Hospitals, it is Starving 2.2 Million Civilians of Potable Water

Ann Arbor (Informed Comment) – Our eyes are naturally drawn to bombings and air strikes and statistics on the dead. This principle is exemplified by the furor over the bombing of al-Ahli Hospital, the responsibility for which it is difficult to fix amid the fog of war. It should be remembered, however, that Israel has threatened many other hospitals, demanding that they be evacuated, however unrealistic that demand might be. But the threat of total war on Gaza civilians comes from a different policy, which is endangering their lives on a much grander scale if in less garish ways.

You are a product of settler-colonialism, a nation created first on lies The ones like Terra Nullius then through the removal and attempted elimination of the people who lived in the territory before you as evidenced in the frontier wars. Your ilk killed for this country. Settler-colonisers don’t just remove people off their land. They remove their historical places, monuments, evidence of their history oral and physical, all traces of their existence. “Boom oops sorry we didn’t mean that” said Rio Tinto in 2022. They demand Assimilation. Both you, Jacinta Price and Tony Abbott claim there are “Only Australians”. So if there is no victim, there is no crime. The criminals then are the “undeserving indigenous” and they need policing, a Royal Commission because you want to prove they are less than you. Just as was done when Terra Nullius failed. Indigenous Australians were fauna not human. If the territory culturally cleansed of the indigenous character given to it by those who lived then, it is open to be forced fed  a new one and that’s what settler Colonists want ASSIMILATION

It found both those who voted ‘yes’ (92 per cent) and ‘no’ (83 per cent) agreed that truth in political advertising should be legislated before the next election campaign.

Seven in 10 respondents said they were concerned about misinformation on social media in the lead up to the voice referendum. Australia Institute executive director Richard Denniss said it shouldn’t be legal to lie in a political ad.

Referendum silences First Australians

Australians had the opportunity to accept our invitation in the ‘Uluru Statement from the Heart’. Only they had the power to decide whether to accept or reject constitutional recognition of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people by voting “Yes” or “No” on a representative body enshrined in the Constitution.

I hope I’m wrong, but everything around me is saying that today Australia will reject that invitation. It will choose to leave our hand outstretched.

Unlike elections, the thing about referendums is that there really is no hiding the truth.

As challenges mount, so does criticism of Albanese

When the IA starts to sound like News Corp do we need to be concerned? Government questioning is normal it was once the role of the ABC. Why make it sound exceptional?

The fact is, Albanese has been stumbling in a very public way from one shambles to another in recent times. Consider the following four matters of public importance which have dominated the news and elicited much public discussion. Cumulatively, they suggest the need for an urgent reset for a Labor Government so many of us have so much invested in.

Julian Assange supporters

“Enough is enough” Prime Minister Albanese said of WikiLeaks publisher Julian Assange’s situation. Australians might have thought that meant swift intervention by his government, but Rex Patrick and Philip Dorling reveal the true meaning; jail.

Palestinians being ‘collectively punished’ for Hamas

Thousands of missiles have been fired in the Ukraine/Russian conflict and from Israel and Gaza. None had the capacity to kill 500 people. However, we know bombs being dropped from above do. Israel also has the media influence and is in denial while the doctors on the ground in Gaza have the experience to distinguish differences in injuries and they aren’t Hamas. Now the US is assisting in Israel’s denials while Israel is ready to arrest any journalists that say otherwise. The world is watching  with increasing disbelief
