The Declaration of Human Rights was written as a response to the inhumanity of the Holocaust which saw the killing of 13 million people because of their race, their religion, their ideologies were not acceptable to the Nazi regime in Germany. The races targeted were Jews and Gypsies, two marginalised groups, marginalised not just in Germany, but in much of Europe, and marginalised for centuries, Jews for their religious beliefs, Gypsies were ‘the wandering spirits of the earth’. On ideologies, these included homosexuals and people with disabilities.

Palestinians are marginalised in Israel, but not just in Israel, also in Lebanon, in Jordan, in Egypt where they are placed in Refugee camps, denied employment, treated as second class people and have really nowhere to go.

It seems those who ignore history are likely to repeat it while those who know history can only look on in wondrous amazement.

Israel then turned Gaza into a “concentration camp” ( Israel’s own description) and it’s been one since 2006.

Israel has been doing what Hamas did on Oct7th on more than one occasion  Operation Cast Lead 2008 and Operation Protective Edge (2014) are just two of many.

The Goldstone report contains an objective assessment of what took place during the military attack on Gaza, which was described by the Mission as serious violations of international humanitarian law and other relevant international instruments.

The effort Israel is currently putting in to prevent any Independent investigation into what has been happening these past 4 months is as much a crime as what has been clearly visible but disguised by their systemic and gigantic flood of rhetoric on International media. So much so they are now losing the media war by shooting themselves in the foot.

This war didn’t start on Oct 7th as the Israelis would like the world to believe

The 12,300 Palestinian children taken from their funny dads, their kind dads, their adventurous dads, for the crime of being born in Gaza, to keep Israel safe from terrorism.

On 26 January, the World spoke to Israel and its supporters – on the issue of Gaza. The World spoke through the International Court of Justice (ICJ). There can be no doubt about that. A number of provisional orders were made. Israel, and its primary accomplice, the United States – hereinafter “the Empire” – did not like what the World said. The Empire has struck back. Let us consider what it has done.

Nevertheless, the Empire continues to strike back. Israel has made it absolutely clear that it does not consider itself restrained in any way by the ICJ’s rulings. The rest of the Empire seems to be content to accept Israel’s position.

In conclusion, we, Australia, must understand the ICJ’s orders and act accordingly. We must oppose the Empire. And we must publicise the message: “Palestine has the right to exist – and therefore the right to resist”.

Since October, Mahmoud Amer’s village in the occupied West Bank has been under an effective blockade. He can’t leave by car, and every time he wants to leave on foot — whether to visit a relative or run an errand — or invite a guest into the village, he has to ask the adjacent Israeli settlement for permission.

“I call the settlement security coordinator every time the children go to school, or when my sister comes to visit,” Amer told +972 and Local Call. “We were told that if we left on foot without telling them, they would cause us problems.”

The cabinet of Israel’s Prime Minister Bibi Netanyahu is filled with religious extremists who believe that Israel’s brutality in Gaza is at God’s command. According to the Book of Joshua in the Hebrew Bible, dated by scholars to the 7th century BC, God promised the land to the Jewish people and instructed them to destroy the other nations living in the promised land. This text is used by extreme nationalists in Israel today, including by many of the 700,000 or so Israeli settlers living in occupied Palestinian lands in violation of international law. Netanyahu pursues the religious ideology of 7th century BC in the 21st century.

Biden needs to take back U.S. policy from the Israel lobby. The U.S. should stop backing Israel’s extremist and utterly illegal policies. Nor should the U.S. spend any more funds on Israel unless and until Israel lives within international law, including the Genocide Convention, and 21st century ethics. Biden should side with the UN Security Council in calling for an immediate ceasefire and indeed in calling for an immediate move to the two-state solution, including recognition of Palestine as the 194th UN member state, a move that is more than a decade overdue since Palestine requested UN membership in 2011.

And even though almost two million are homeless and hungry.

We also approached News Corp for comment, along with several questions for the editor of The Australian, but we received no response.

And if resisting occupation of one’s land by another state is legal in International law, then Hamas acted legally when organising an attack on the Israeli forces. This does not excuse or justify breaches of the law by particular soldiers or their leaders, but accurate reporting of Gazans’ incarcerated condition would allow Australians to better understand the tragic events we are witnessing.

PM says Israel won’t ‘pay any price’ to free hostages

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu says the country will not pay any price for the return of hostages being held by militants.

The ultra-right government’s priority was never the release of hostages. Since 1929 the Zionists have used the same strategy to gain increasingly more land than they ever returned. They created a conflict where there was peace. Back then they did it by spreading rumours that the Jews were planning to seize control of the Temple Mount in Jerusalem. Manufacturing hate ensured peace turned into the conflict Zionists wanted. They could then form the Haganagh terrorists calling them defence militias to protect all Jews. Nobody ever said they were dumb but rather disingenuous. They certainly weren’t operating in the interests of all Jews and never have.

The UN, who they now openly call Hamas lovers, solved Britain’s Jewish Problem by ratifying and giving them Israel. The Americans provided welfare in exchange for a ready-made army base in the Middle East the IDF.

In 1969 Israel attacked Egypt and Syria on what PM Ehud Barak openly admitted was a totally presumptive ploy that had no concrete merit. Again it was for more ground which they simply refused to return but illegally settled. In 1978 they returned the Sinai, as a token of peace, to Egypt.

These incursions were continuously called “defence of all Jews” but were rather a strategy to steal land, and water and encourage the diaspora back to Israel. However, that hasn’t happened. While they successfully created “hate” the Jews remained a minority in the region but wanted total control. Leaving the Palestinians with the options of facing Death, Ethnic Cleansing or Apartheid in a Fascist State. They claim 50% of Jews are now Israeli which isn’t true. 1M Israelis at any one time have left without any rushing back. 500k have permanent residency elsewhere and in the meantime, the others are trying to get it.

 Currently, Israel is America’s primary base in the Middle East but what was once a quid pro quo arrangement Israeli Zionist greed has now become the tail trying to wag the dog. For their effort the Zionists have tried to gain Land, Gazan Gas and a 3rd Nakbah and a shitload load of  deserved hate.

Asked about the 134 hostages who remain in Gaza, Smotrich told Kan Radio that their return was “very important” but that they could not be released “at any cost”.

They are the victims of Israel’s adoption of more aggressive policies since the assassination of Yitzhak Rabin. Rabin the Nobel Peace Prize-winning moderate PM who was assassinated by the avaricious extreme right coalition of minority parties currently holding power united in exchange for driving their extreme policies. The policies a Jewish Apartheid State in control of the Judiciary Education and Army to realign control over all of Palestine from the “river to the sea”

To have the appearance of a Democracy the fully formed Fascist State must ensure of an Institutional Jewish voting majority. This means the priority to the ethnic cleansing of the current number of Palestinians, the creation of an even more regulated Apartheid State, or as their final solution the one the Germans had. If not gas chambers in the short term then a guaranteed form of birth reduction in the long term.

Proposals for an occupation of Israel would require sovereignty to be redefined. Current definitions foster violence. Borders must be protected by force of arms. Within those borders, states such as Israel claim entitlement to defend themselves even by attacking people in lands they occupy.

As someone who has written in the past on the topic of antisemitism in this Journal – South Australia and antisemitism, July 12 2022, and Antisemitism and the IHRA definition, April 26 2023, I was moved to do so again following the piece published by the newly formed Jewish Council of Australia (the Council) on February 8, 2024: Jewish Council of Australia launches to provide expert voice on antisemitism and racism in Australia.

What about those traditional characteristics? Do they still exist? No doubt they would embrace such assertions as the power of the Jews in the media, or as political lobbyists. Such assertions might be considered indicative of the trope of Jews having unusual power. But is a belief in such assertions to be condemned? Should such a belief result in moral turpitude? What if the assertions are true? What if there is a powerful Zionist influence within the Murdoch press, or, topically, within the ABC? What if the Zionist lobby in the United States does in fact have considerable power in political circles? Is it wrong to note that? I say not.

Gov. Hochul’s Canada Genocide Fantasy and the War of 1812

There are many things wrong with Hochul’s remark. First, Gaza is recognized by the UN and most countries in the world as an occupied territory over which Israel is the occupying power. It isn’t an independent country. It has no port, airport, or heavy armaments. It is almost completely surrounded by Israel, including from the sea and the skies, and even the Egyptian checkpoint of Gaza is de facto controlled by Israeli policy. Israel has the basic right of self-defense, as do all United Nations member states under its charter. But it doesn’t have the right to wage a total war, to wipe out 30,000 people in Gaza, the bulk of them innocent non-combatants, or to ethnically cleanse 1.9 million people. It has a right to defend itself from the Hamas organization, but not to destroy Gaza. As an occupying power it has a special responsibility to ensure the welfare of the Palestinian non-combatants of Gaza, a responsibility it has abandoned with glee.

To treat the current bombardment of Gaza as simply a consequence of the October 7 incursion is at best simplistic. October 7 is not day one. The origin lies further back in time. For Western governments and their media, to maintain this ‘day one’ focus makes them complicit in the ongoing oppression and deaths of Palestinians and their expulsion from their land. It is left to us citizens to stand up and demand better.
