The LNP has adopted and politicized it to such an extent that its policies have turned to the restriction of historical facts that can be taught in our schools and the creation of degrees taught in universities. Any demand for structural inclusion by showing up the level of exclusion of people of color is now deemed revolutionary and divisive and called Cultural Replacement Theory or the  (CRT) conspiracy. It’s deemed as dangerous as Marxism once was by the far right-wing media along with the demands of other like-minded groups that threaten power, privilege and the current order of things. By demanding equality, and justice and spotlighting the facts of and methods adopted to exclude people of color from opportunities afforded whites .

Eleven of the people he shot were Black, and two were white. As the manifesto he left behind makes clear, this was fully intentional. The first listed goal in his manifesto was to “kill as many blacks as possible”.

What Australia’s LNP wants but can’t come up with yet is how to do away with history and the facts of how we got here. The prefer myth unlike the Germans. Lest we forget the Catholic Church once banned books and maintained the reading of Sociology was a sin. The teaching of Evolution was heretical and science dangerous.  Today it’s the process or way we study history and apply CT Critical Thinking or particularly CRT and focus on Race. Post-war Germany still practices CT  today and does it daily. Gone is the notion of an Aryan super race. Why do we see the rise of white superiority again in America and here and that Racism should never be taught or history learned or discovered? Don’t we have freedom no a requirement to learn only to be  trained when it comes to education? Trained like the Hitler Youth once were or the way Muslims are in Madrasses,orthodox Jews, and Christian cults are? Andrew Bolt thinks so.

In the state of North Carolina, the legislature saw fit to pass House Bill 324 in response to the Critical Race Theory madness set off by a FOX News interview. The bill outlaws teaching that includes the following:

1. “One race or sex is inherently superior to another race or sex.”

2. “An individual, solely by virtue of his or her race or sex, is inherently racist, sexist, or oppressive, whether consciously or unconsciously.”

3. “An individual should be discriminated against or receive adverse treatment solely or partly because of his or her race or sex.”

4. “An individual’s moral character necessarily determined by his or her race or sex.”

5. “An individual, solely by virtue of his or her race or sex.”

6. “Any individual solely by virtue of his or her race or sex, should feel discomfort, guilt, anguish, or any other form of psychological distress.”

7. “That the belief that the United States as a meritocracy is an inherently racist or sexist belief, or that the United States was created by members of a particular race or sex for the purpose of oppressing members of another race or sex.”

The Moral Panic Over Critical Race Theory Is Coming for a North Carolina Teacher of the Year – Mother Jones

Coming to you Australia via the LNP, Minister Alan Tudge, and News Corp the “don’t hurt my white feelings”  Bill. An original carbon copy of America’s Republican push because the LNP simply has no original, even racist ideas of their own.

“I’m not trying to tell them how to live their lives or what their political ideology should be,” he says. “I just want them to be critical thinkers.” These days, he sometimes thinks of this quote by the American historian Arthur M. Schlesinger, Jr.: “Honest history is the weapon of freedom.”

Media should be careful with polls about critical race theory

Three polls released in the past several months attempt to measure public opinion about critical race theory — asking respondents about the topic in general, how often they’ve heard about it, and whether they agree with it’s alleged use in elementary schools. However, none of the polls assess whether respondents accurately understand critical race theory, so given right-wing media spin on the topic, outlets must be cautious in reporting their results.

Knowing the real history of the U.S., is essential to advancing the struggles of today to achieve a more just society for all the multi-racial, multi-ethnic people who live in a nation becoming more diverse every day. It undermines the rationalizations for suppressing the rights to vote and protest, and for protecting political and economic power for an entrenched white and corporate elite that continues to profit off structural racism today.
