Here’s What You Need to Know Before the Fox News Trial on Monday – Mother Jones

In a letter on Friday, Fox attorneys apologized to Delaware Superior Court Judge Eric Davis for misrepresenting Rupert Murdoch’s role in court filings. Fox lawyers have repeatedly insisted that Murdoch didn’t have an official title at Fox News, but last week, they disclosed that he was in fact an executive officer. The distinction may have limited which emails and texts Fox turned over during the discovery process. The judge has since launched an investigation into potential legal misconduct by Fox. At a hearing on Wednesday, a seething Davis told Fox lawyers, “I need people to tell me the truth—and, by the way, omission is a lie.”

Unless the two parties reach a last-minute settlement — which seems unlikely — Fox News and Dominion Voting Systems are scheduled for their first day in court Monday. Delaware Superior Court Judge Eric Davis is expected to finish the jury selection process in Dominion’s $1.6 billion defamation lawsuit against Fox News before hearing opening statements later in the day.

Integrity watchdog to examine allegations of police misconduct during Bruce Lehrmann case | Australia news | The Guardian

Bruce Lehrmann

A case for the Prosecution vs the case for the AFP aren’t they on the same side? If so who is Brittany?

Drumgold’s letter, released under freedom of information, made a series of extraordinary allegations about police conduct during the investigation and trial stages, saying he felt there was “a very clear campaign to pressure” him not to prosecute the alleged rape of Brittany Higgins.

He alleged investigators had bullied Higgins, forcing her to insulate herself from further contact with them, and that police “clearly aligned with the successful defence of this matter” during the trial.

Drumgold told Gaughan he wanted a public inquiry into police and political conduct during the case.

Morrison’s apology derails rape trial – » The Australian Independent Media Network

Yes it’s foot-in-mouth Smirko again doing what he does best and “fucking ” things up one day and then doing it again the next while saying “I didn’t do that”!!

Yet again many of us are asking ourselves, is Prime Minister Scott Morrison thoroughly ill-intentioned, or merely driven by blindly arrogant stupidity and incompetence? That we are forced to ask this question almost daily is in itself a serious indictment of the man, regardless of the answer. Of course, he could quite easily be both. Many of us who heard Morrison’s apology to Brittany Higgins in Parliament earlier this week were alarmed when he named the alleged victim of an alleged rape which is due to go to trial in June. The PM’s apology has been described by a leading defence barrister as without foundation, as the allegations have not yet been tested. There is now considerable doubt that, as a consequence of Morrison’s apology, a jury can be struck in the ACT where the trial is due to be held.
