Culture War & Voting: New Polling Reaffirms That the Culture War Is a Winner for Republicans | National Review

Just how original a genius is Scott Morrison? His Captain’s Pick of Katherine Deves, a carbon copy of America’s Republican far-Right. His Economic arguments weren’t cutting through so he turned to America’s culture wars and disguised it as a fight for “free speech and women”. But, Scott, “we aren’t America” where only 50% vote and we all do and too many just might see your lack of genius

the growing body of evidence that today’s culture-war issues present a major political opportunity for Republicans. Some key results from APP’s press release:

  • Women’s Sports: Fifty-six percent supported (33 percent opposed) laws to protect women’s sports at the K–12 and collegiate levels.
  • Sex Changes for Minors: Fifty-six percent supported (31 percent opposed) laws banning puberty blockers, cross-sex hormones, and physical sex-change surgeries for children.
  • Sexual Topics in Schools: Sixty percent supported (34 percent opposed) laws banning instruction on sexual orientation and gender identity from kindergarten through third grade.

Marketing and the big Fail. Doesn’t the word Murdoch spring to mind just look where Harvey Norman’s Advertises.

The government’s response was the program was designed quickly to create the most stimulus and there was no mechanism to recover the funds from those that found out after the event they didn’t meet the criteria. Sounds like the same thing they pilloried the progressive side of politics for about a decade earlier. At the same time, the same conservative government considered chasing individuals who received JobKeeper as well as JobSeeker during the 2020/2021 Financial Year. In the government’s eyes this isn’t a correct and proper use of resources. The story is pretty clear – the progressive political party really couldn’t market themselves out of a wet paper bag. The conservative political party is all about the marketing. Anyone want a black coffee mug?

Jobs, Jobs, Jobs or “More Miracles For Morrison!” – » The Australian Independent Media Network

While some people are mocking this focus on jobs, it’s worth remembering that the government promised that they’d be all about jobs and growth when they first came to power back in 2013… I know that it’s confusing because we have had three Prime Ministers, three Deputy PMs, three Treasurers and the occasional Science minister jumbled in with another portfolio such as Trade or the Arts, but it is all the same government. And yes, it does seem reminiscent of people who keeps changing their name in the hope that the lawsuits won’t catch up with them, but let’s give credit where credit is due… Of course, demand cash upfront from those shops who keep putting up the “Under New Management” sign every few weeks.

What’s the difference between JobMaker and JobTrainer, you ask? Is this another example of the government re-announcing something and acting like it’s new when there’s no substantial difference and no extra funding?
