WHITE MAN’S DARK MONEY: MEET THE BANKROLLERS – The Klaxon

Advance network was run from a fake “national headquarters” in Canberra’s CBD.

The “virtual office” cost Advance $85 a month.

The entities include Advance Aust Ltd and its campaign brand Fair Australia (which both claim the Voice goes too far); “Not Enough” (a site suggesting the Voice doesn’t go far enough”); Australians for Unity (the “charity” arm of the network) and “Referendum for News” (which falsely holds itself out as an impartial news source).

The latest donors to Advance, for the year to June, won’t be known until next year, given peak federal political disclosure laws.

In the 2022 financial year, its AEC filing states, Advance received total donations of $2.24m.

The sources of donations of $14,500 or less were not required to be disclosed.

The disclosed 21 donations, from the ten entities, totalled $723,422.

There are no laws against lying in federal political advertising or in referendums.

Advance has a history of lying to the public.

Before last year’s federal election, it ran billboards falsely claiming independents, including now Senator David Pocock were actually secretly Greens candidates. It also ran advertisements of the Chinese President “voting” for the ALP.

Entities were well hidden from the press

Revealed: the elite money behind the No campaign

In the dark and hidden recesses, there are the other Tim Gurners those who keep their mouths shut and pay others to do their dirty work for them

The payments being made on both sides of this referendum should be revealed now, so Australians can know who is funding the arguments before they cast their votes.

the No campaign has an establishment of its own, full of people with money, influence and connections as well as harbourside views. It turns out that a transport company boss and a building materials millionaire are among the donors behind Advance Australia, although their names do not show up in the disclosures at the Australian Electoral Commission.

This is important when so little is known about the peak group behind the No campaign, Advance Australia, and the activist group it has set up, Fair Australia. These groups are secretive by design, but key facts about the tactics adopted by some of their members emerged in news reports by this masthead this week about the way they coached volunteers to use fear and doubt rather than facts to defeat the Voice at the October 14 referendum. It is not suggested that any of the donors identified below endorsed the controversial tactics revealed in the news reports.

To Hell in a Hand Basket – » The Australian Independent Media Network

If you’re trying to understand what it means “to go to hell in a handbasket” simply take a glance at recent history and government ruled by the LNP, particularly in the past decade. Then listen to Peter Dutton try to tell you that a deficit of a trillion dollars is really nothing when it was 3rd of that under the ALP. Who saved the country from the GFC. Listen to Peter Dutton tell you the ‘working poor” are better off today because unemployment is down and casualized labor up. That the “pink bats” scandal was the worst and bigger than any ever seen under the LNP. How many more fingers do you need to count the 5 deaths than those because of offshore detention, Covid, and Robocop? Listen to him Ley and Cash tell you the ALP was never as united as the LNP are today and why Fraser, Hewson, and Turnbull all jumped ship and left the party. Then evaluate what it means to go “to hell in a handbasket” with a media-driven Trump-like PM called Scomo who is still sitting on the back bench smelling like rotting fish

The Voice may not be perfect, it may not answer all the questions but it’s a start and just like most other changes we have seen in our lifetimes, won’t lead us to hell in a hand basket.

You’re the (symbolic) Voice

LNP Politics amounts to “servicing the majority of Australians” while “providing a service” for a minority That’s been their business model during my lifetime and I’m 77. That’s a far cry from being the providers of services we as Australians expect and pay for yet haven’t been the beneficiaries of today. Their CV and example of service history has been lower than a limbo bar on the ground and shows why and where we are today. Yes is necessary as an increasing number of Australians are on a slippery slope of economic disadvantage experienced by Aboriginal Australians. The LNP doesn’t want that to change.

Infuriatingly, the Coalition doesn’t even try to hide its ideological inconsistency. Sunrise host Natalie Barr grilled Dutton this morning, demanding to know why he would spend millions on another referendum for something First Nations peoples aren’t even asking for. “I think it’s the right thing and the respectful thing to do to simply acknowledge our history,” Dutton said. He claimed it was “the wrong thing” to enshrine a Voice in the Constitution, but offered no further explanation.

Racism, the ‘No’ campaign and the Americanisation of Australian politics – » The Australian Independent Media Network

The Uluru Statement against FN art background

Category: Politics permalink Lucy Hamilton There may be some Coalition politicians and Murdoch employees who are motivated by genuine racism to oppose the Voice to Parliament. Some might believe First Nations Australians are unworthy. Some probably believe in “reverse racism.” That, of course, is the belief that there is a correct direction for racism to travel.

Racism, the ‘No’ campaign and the Americanisation of Australian politics – Pearls and Irritations

Culture war between right and wrong.

There may be some Coalition politicians and Murdoch employers who are motivated by genuine racism to oppose the Voice to Parliament. Some might believe First Nations Australians are unworthy. Some probably believe in “reverse racism.” That, of course, is the belief that there is a correct direction for racism to travel.

What gets some whitefellas angry and anxious – Pearls and Irritations

Note the AFR apologized for it’s taking the RACIST money $20,000 for the No campaign Ad. Or did they donate it? They quickly said it won’t happen again. However, that’s in no way stopped the No campaign from finding others to take their money to publish BULLSHIT that lies ahead.

There is nothing that agitates some whitefellas more than an intelligent, articulate and charismatic blackfella.

The No campaign has featured Thomas Mayo in a crude racist full page ad in the AFR with Michael and Kate Chaney. They are also circulating a nasty video mash up which uses selective footage to depict Mayo as a threatening and dangerous subversive.

Yes and No and a Bit of Mischief ! – » The Australian Independent Media Network

The No campaign has been accused by Professor Greg Craven of cynically using his early remarks to portray him as being opposed to the Voice. Craven has said he was “thoroughly irritated” to be quoted. He said he was critical of the early drafting of the amendment but had supported it since the wording was settled.

Mundine, Price falsely claim Millwarparra man as Vincent Lingiari’s grandson to push No campaign | SBS NITV

FAIR AUSTRALIA STEWART LINGIARI WEB HERO V2.jpg

In a pathetic justification, Warren Mundine continues to try to insist the man he and Price falsely claim to be Lingiari’s grandson is,  Mundine even in the face of his denials says “you don’t know Aboriginal culture”!! It seems Mundine knows more than the man himself. All in an effort to justify his misguided and false Fair Australia ad. The ad he and Price used in their vote “No” campaign. Mundine and Price are proof positive that not all Indigenous Australians represent or acknowledge the history of their peoples. They speak for themselves yes, but not for the First Nations of this country.

A Millwarparra man has said he did not know what the Voice to Parliament was when he was filmed reading anti-Voice sentiments that were written for him.

Paul Bongiorno: ‘No’ campaign spoiling to muffle the Voice

Voice

The Prime Minister’s commitment to implement the Uluru Statement From the Heart in full is in grave danger of being derailed by the shorthand title, ‘The Voice’ that we keep hearing about.
