Accessing the page from an Israeli IP address, not only are the 24 films gone, but “Palestinian Stories” doesn’t exist at all: The URL for the landing page instead yields to 404 error page saying the site can’t be found. The Israeli page reportedly used to include 28 movies.
“This erasure of Palestinian voices by Netflix follows many ugly decades of suppression of Palestinian viewpoints and narratives by Western news and entertainment media companies,” said a letter calling for reinstatement of the films from 30 pro-Palestinian organizations, including Freedom Forward where Bery, an Intercept contributor, is executive director.
Yet the Biden administration has greenlit tens of billions of dollars in weapons sales to Israel, while U.S. munitions have repeatedly been used in attacks on schools, that have become shelters, predominantly for women and children, in the Gaza Strip. “Make no mistake, the United States is fully, fully, fully supportive of Israel,” President Joe Biden said recently, even though his administration acknowledged the likelihood that Israel had used American weaponry in Gaza in violation of international law.
Hezbollah has so far focused on military targets and deliberately avoided civilians. This could soon change if Israel continues to slaughter innocent people.
“What would you do if your territory was invaded by a bunch of armed and violent aggressors, backed by a major power? The aggressors say your land is really their land and they then produce a detailed myth as ‘evidence.’
Then they begin to force you and your neighbors out of the area, or corral you into reservations. They deny you any economic development and periodically subject you to pogroms. Every time you try to negotiate with them, they present you with purposely extreme demands. What would you do?”
critical documented history is not something delivered in the U.S. and U.K. school systems as well as corporate media. What is more likely to be received is Nationalistic propaganda, religious mythology, and entertainment substituting as news. My government continues to help Israel slaughter defenseless old men, women, and children to kill a small number of decimated combatants each day as war equals profit for investors in the global machinery of war. I want to be wrong but expect in a generation or two, no matter what happens with other Middle Eastern countries and world powers to the point of a nuclear war, Palestinians will go the way of the Native American and be relegated to little reservations on truly barren land.
Two of Musk’s commercial operations, Tesla and SpaceX, have received billions in American taxpayer support. The federal government, Politico points out, has essentially “outsourced its space program” to SpaceX, and Tesla, a shaky electric vehicle company when Musk bought it, only “took off after receiving $465 million in subsidies from the Obama administration in 2010.”

“Not one village must be left, not one tribe. And only after this transfer will the country be able to absorb millions of our brothers and the Jewish problem will cease to exist. There is no other solution.”
Joseph Weitz, Head of Jewish National Fund, from his diary, December 1940.
“We came here to a country that was populated by Arabs and we are building here a Hebrew, a Jewish state; instead of the Arab villages, Jewish villages were established. You even do not know the names of those villages, because these villages no longer exist. There is not a single Jewish settlement that was not established in the place of a former Arab Village.”
Moshe Dyan, March 19, 1969, speech at the Technion in Haifa, quoted in Israeli National Daily, Ha’aretz, April 4, 1969.
“We must use terror, assassination, intimidation, land confiscation, and the cutting of all social services to rid the Galilee of its Arab population.”
David Ben Gurion, Founder of Israel and First Prime Minister; May 1948 to the General Staff, from ‘Ben Gurion’, a biography by Michael Ben Zohar. Published NY 1978.
“We declare openly that the Arabs have no right to settle on even one centimetre of Eretz Israel… Force is all they do or ever will understand. We shall use the ultimate force until the Palestinians come crawling to us on all fours.”
Rafael Eitan, Chief of Staff of the Israeli Defence Forces – New York Times 14 April 1983.
“Jerusalem was and will for ever be our capital. Eretz Israel will be restored to the people of Israel. All of it. And for Ever.
Menachem Begin from Iron Wall, by Z’ev Japotinsky p. 25 & Simha Flapan, p. 32
“There were no such thing as Palestinians, It was not as though there was a Palestinian people in Palestine and we came and threw them out and took their country away from them. They did not exist.”
Golda Meir, quoted in The Sunday Times, London and The Washington Post. June 1967.
“The way to deal with Palestinians is to beat them up. Not once, but repeatedly. Beat them up so it hurts so badly, until it’s unbearable”.
Benjamin Netanyahu, caught on video speaking to Israeli settlers 2001.
“Spirit the penniless population across the frontier by denying it employment… Both the process of expropriation and the removal of the poor must be carried out discreetly and circumspectly.”
Theodore Herzl, founder of the World Zionist Organisation, speaking of the Arabs of Palestine,Complete Diaries, June 12, 1895.

It is dangerous and costly to keep “we the people” in the dark. We need to think back on the lies that led us into wars in Vietnam, Afghanistan, Iraq and elsewhere.
Such a poisoning of civilising forces within international relations is now being applied to the UN. In the absence of press freedom, the UN is one of the few organisation which has been able to provide evidence of whether the IDF is indeed committing war crimes. In response, Israel has vociferously attacked the institution rather than the evidence. Such attacks have targeted not only UNWRA but also UN personnel and no less the Secretary General – inexcusably made persona non grata. In this way, the aim has been – at great moral expense – to undermine the credibility of the UN as whole.
How then, it must be asked of Netanyahu, is it possible for us to view Israel as anything but a rogue state in which its civilising instincts have been all but extinguished and its democratic principles seriously eroded.
Israel has managed to introduce a new form of shielding in Gaza, one that appears unprecedented in the history of warfare.
Haaretz published an entire expose about how Israeli troops have abducted Palestinian civilians, dressed them in military uniforms, attached cameras to their bodies, and sent them into underground tunnels as well as buildings in order to shield Israeli troops.
They’re usually wearing Israeli army uniforms, many of them are in their 20s, and they’re always with Israeli soldiers of various ranks,” the Haaretz article notes. But if you look more closely, “you see that most of them are wearing sneakers, not army boots. And their hands are cuffed behind their backs and their faces are full of fear.”
States, including Australia, must not accept blatant disregard for international law — including binding decisions of the Security Council, orders of the International Court of Justice, and the International Criminal Court (ICC).
Biden’s bombs and missiles, dropped daily on Lebanon, a U.S. ally, by his puppet master Netanyahu, is wreaking havoc in this small defenseless country. The Israeli genocidal machine is waging an incinerating assault on fleeing civilians and critical facilities. The scorched-earth Israeli strategy is the same as what we have seen in Gaza
Netanyahu accused Macron of a “distressing distortion of history”, saying his country’s founding was achieved by the 1948 Arab-Israeli war, not a UN ruling.
Macron told his ministers that Netanyahu “must not forget that his country was created by a decision of the UN”, referring to the resolution adopted in November 1947 by the United Nations general assembly on the plan to partition Palestine into a Jewish state and an Arab state.
What Netanyahu conveniently ignores is what preceded what he calls the “Arab War” for more than two decades before there was the TERROR of the ZIONIST WAR . Which came first the chicken or the egg is very clear in this case. Their Project was to establish the Palestinian territory and British Mandate as the “Jewish Homeland”
The Jews conducted a war against both the British and Arabs who had initially accepted Jews as asylum seekers and immigrants. Only 2% of the Jews however purchased any land in Palestine and stole the rest. Before 1929 there was no real tension between Palestinians and Jews other than that “manufactured” by the Zionists to fulfil their political ambition. There was no excuse like the Holocaust in Europe.
Until such time as the rules are applied to all parties in an even-handed way, I personally can’t condemn people like Ismail Haniyeh or Yahya Sinwar. Their lives have been book-ended by massive crimes against humanity committed by the very people and regimes that have acted as their judges, their juries and their executioners. In case anyone forgets: legal scholars tell us that genocide is the crime of crimes. The leaders of Israel, the US and the West should face justice – and consequences – for that crime. Until such time as they do let Yahya Sinwar rest in peace.
