Having come to the realization that we have damaged the planet with fossil fuels the LNP now wants the promise of a nuclear energy world that will really destroy it. BP and Exxon’s corporate promise of an accident-free energy source turned out to be a farce but now the LNP is barking for the promise of a no-accident nuclear world versus a happy-to-have-accident on a renewable energy planet.

Proponents for a nuclear energy industry in Australia increased their media activity following the announcement of the AUKUS agreement. Their campaign has been taken up by the Coalition. The international campaign reached a crescendo during the COP28 climate meeting.
