When Speech isn’t FREE and it costs the lives and displacement of a Nation it’s PROPAGANDA FOR PROFIT
The Kremlin is attempting to justify its invasion of Ukraine by citing the remarks of conspiracy theorist and Fox Nation host Lara Logan. The Russian government has used Fox News figures to defend its war against Ukraine. Fox News programming has repeatedly defended Russian dictator Vladimir Putin and pushed pro-Kremlin talking points. Unsurprisingly, the Kremlin has amplified Fox host Tucker Carlson, and Mother Jones reported that a leaked Kremlin memo said “it is essential to use as much as possible fragments of broadcasts of” Carlson. Sergey Lavrov, the Russian foreign minister, recently praised Fox News’ coverage of Putin’s invasion of Ukraine, claiming that the network is providing “some alternative points of view.”
