Arctic temperatures soar 25 degrees above normal in the dead of winter

Arctic temperatures in February 2018 are averaging well above normal, and peaking up to 25 degrees higher than normal.

While the Eastern United States simmers in some of its warmest February weather ever recorded, the Arctic is also stewing in temperatures 25 degrees above normal.

This latest huge temperature spike in the Arctic is another striking indicator of its rapidly transforming climate.
