As I write this, adrenaline is drilling through me. Right now, it’s not clear who will be the next president of the United States, though it is looking likely to be Donald Trump. The polling largely suggested a Hillary Clinton win. Much of it suggested a clear Clinton win. What has instead occurred is a surprise result, and not only because people “in the beltway”, or the class/education equivalent, believed nobody in their right minds could vote for Trump.
