Prime Minister Tony Abbott said he had ordered security boosted at Parliament House in Canberra, amid mounting concerns over the possibility of attacks by Australians radicalized in Iraq or Syria
“There is chatter, there has been chatter, amongst these networks, of targeting government people. There is no doubt about that,” Abbott said in an interview with Australia’s Channel Nine television network.
“That is why we are in the process of upgrading security at Parliament House in Canberra; that is why we are in the process of putting the Australian Federal Police in charge, not just of external security, but also of internal security in Parliament House.”

The IS seem to be very up to date with modern social media techniques what makes  us assume that they are not using our listening to their “chatter” as a weapon against us. These people have family and friends here who are not terrorists but might sympathise with the Sunni cause not necessarily with the way IS is dealing with it but their recent history of repression. There can be no doubt that it’s a topic of heated conversation. As was the “chatter” after the Bali bombing.  One phone call where no content will be released is we are told at best suspicious. One phone call is enough to get you 20 years  without a right  to the evidence to form a  defense because the Government is keeping things secret due to “operational Matters”.
